  1. I too worry about the state of civil liberties in this country, and how violators are not held accountable.

    On a lighter note, the Oatmeal cartoon makes me grateful that I never got involved with Netflix.

  2. Civil liberties is where Obama has really disappointed me. On economics, I expected him to be pretty much what he has been, a typical moderate, corporatist, center-right (by international standards) Democrat.

    But I actually thought he meant it when he talked about reversing the erosion of civil liberties that we saw under Bush. Instead -- except for mostly shutting down the torture regime, I'll give him that -- he's doubled down on it. Very disappointing.
