  1. While I wouldn't mind having (say) a Jetsons sound accompanying my electric car, I think the risk of increased accidents is overstated. A lot of Priuses have been on the road for years now, and I'm not seeing anything about more pedestrians being hit. Is this really a thing?

  2. Apparently so. An NHTSA study claims a statistically significant higher rate of low-speed vehicle-pedestrian and vehicle-bicyclist accidents for hybrids.
